Kevyn's clients could nap, but mine have to blog!

Just another day at the office
Kevyn Aucoin used to have his clients lie down on a pillow while he did their makeup. It was how he used to do his little sister's makeup when they were kids. Unfortunately, my clients don't always have the time to relax. Sometimes they have to work throughout the entire application. Kerry Diamond of Lancome was just that client tonight!

Kerry and I go back a bit so we're really comfortable working together. She worked on her computer while I did her makeup for a special screening of Eat Pray Love (which was fabulous), that Lancome organized especially for an audience of makeup artists. We literally didn't need her to stop typing and look up until it was time to curl her eyelashes. Everything, including the eye shadows, liner, under eye concealer, and even mascara, was done while she wrote about it on The Lancome Blog!

I've also done makeup while a client was riding in an Escalade and once even in a private fitting room at DKNY! Even in funny situations, I love what I do and that's why it's...DRAMA FREE MAKEUP!

Read Kerry Diamond's full story at The Lancome Blog!

  1. Andrew, you are the best. It saddened me to wash off the makeup. It's been great watching you grow as a makeup artist. Your work is better than ever. xoxo

  3. do you know michelle phan took your criss crossing white eyeliner trick and is passing it off as her own. We knew about you and your trick from kerry at thelancomeblog.com

i think its so rude that shes been copying other makeup artists tricks and techniques and not crediting them. Someone confronted her and she said, her trick is different then your because she you blend the criss crosses and she doesn't because her foundation application will blend it for her.

I think makeup artists need to speak out and confront, this is not the first time shes taken credit for someone else's trick. everyone on youtube is going crazy on her criss cross trick, calling her an innovative makeup genius. not fair to you!
