Kerry Washington, Makeup by Andrew Sotomayor
Last fall, Kerry Washington made her Broadway debut in David Mamet's "RACE" on Broadway. She recently finished her run on stage with co-stars James Spader, David Alan Grier, and Richard Thomas. I first met Kerry when I did her makeup for the annual Americans for the Arts Gala held at Cipriani's 42nd St in October. The first thing she said was "Hi I'm Kerry." Followed by "First things first, are you related?" referring to Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor (the answer is no). Her longtime hairstylist, Takisha Drew, is responsible for perfecting those gorgeous waves. (More photos of celebrities at fabulous events can be seen on TheYBF.com)Kerry is wearing L'Oreal Color Riche lipstick in Fairest Nude and Studio Secrets Professional Eye Shadow Quad in Earthscape.
Kerry is witty, worldly, talented, and has an incredible eye for style. Her remarks about gay rights during an interview for the documentary "The People Speak" still inspire me. She looked amazing in the Christian Dior dress above and in the white Marchesa mini below (Takisha did her hair and I did the makeup). Read more about what she wore by visiting MSN.
Congratulations to Kerry on her successful run in RACE, and best wishes for all her many upcoming projects.
